Guarding Your Smile with Mouth Guards

Mouth guards have a broad range of applications

Your smile is one of your most valuable assets, and protecting it goes beyond just regular dental check-ups and hygiene routines

A mouth guard, also known as a sports guard or athletic mouthpiece, is a protective device that covers and shields your teeth and gums. It is typically made of durable, flexible materials that absorb impact and prevent injury to the mouth. While they are commonly associated with contact sports, mouth guards have a broader range of applications.

Types of Mouth Guards

There are three main types of mouth guards, we'll help guide you on the best one for you during your free consultation with us.

Stock Mouth Guards

These are pre-made and come in standard sizes. While they are readily available, they often provide a poor fit and limited protection.

Boil-and-Bite Mouth Guards

These are partially customisable, as you can soften them in hot water and then bite into them for a more tailored fit. They offer better protection than stock mouth guards.

Custom-Fitted Mouth Guards

The most effective and comfortable option, custom-fitted mouth guards are crafted by a dentist. They are made specifically for your mouth, ensuring the best fit and protection.
