What Makes Us Different

From the first consultation your expectations are our priority. It is very important to us to understand your story, learn how we can help you and give you a smile that you have longed for. In some cases its not necessarily the smile, it can be the thought of eating food and enjoying it again is what drives some patients.

Treating our patients with kindness, listening and understanding is what makes us stand above the rest, and that is not to mention our highly skilled clinical team that provide treatment to the highest standard. Meeting expectations is not enough for us, we aim to exceed them; if we do not do that, then we have failed.

We recognise that in some cases patients have neglected their mouths due to a real fear, the anxiety they feel controls their ability to visit the dentist to speak to someone, let alone undergo treatment.

We want you to be sure you have found the right team and clinic to help you regain your confidence and embark on this life-changing adventure. Nadine Cummins, our treatment coordinator will spend time with you to look at your options and how your journey with us might look…ultimately, the end results!

Book your free consultation with Nadine, you will be able ask any questions you have about the practice, our services and the treatment you are thinking about or any concerns you may have. This also allows us to understand your needs and expectation.

If you find it hard to take time from your busy schedule; we can arrange a new patient assessment for you on the same day with a dentist. There will be a fee for a new patient assessment with the dentist. We would still really like you to meet Nadine who can go through the new patient journey with you but you will skip a step and be able to plan any recommended treatment on the day, in most cases.

Our free consultation is available to ALL of our patients, especially those who are nervous and would like to chat to someone in a non-clinical environment to help put your anxieties at ease. For our nervous and anxious patients, you can download our anxiety questionnaire which will help us understand your level of anxiety and what programme we can offer to help you overcome fear.

We often hear patients say I wish I could have this, or if only I could have that. Spending time with Nadine means you can speak to an experienced team member who will take time to answer all your questions in a relaxed environment.

A crucially important part of our relationship with all of our patients is trust, we want to make you feel relaxed and that you are in safe hands.

Single Implant

If you are missing a single tooth, replacing it with a single dental implant Implants can be a very straight -forward procedure with little downtime. Often people think that a single missing tooth will not cause any further damage however, once we lose a tooth, it can be extra pressure on our remaining teeth and cause the tooth below or above to over-erupt, giving the impressions, we are long in the tooth!

Once the dental implant it has been placed, a ceramic crown will be placed over it to give the impression of a natural tooth, the shade is selected based on your remaining teeth. We will, in most cases use our CEREC milling machine for these crowns which can be made in 1 hour, no waiting for two weeks for your impressions to be sent to laboratory.

The actual implants are small, titanium pegs that are placed in the jawbone. They replace what would have been the root of your natural tooth. Once the implant has been placed and a healing period successfully completed, your replacement tooth will be cemented on permanently.

The titanium pegs are very strong, which means that the implants are fixed firmly into the jaw and will integrate into your body’s own tissues, just like the teeth they are replacing.

Stages of a Single Dental Implant

Implants themselves are small, titanium cylinders that are placed in the jawbone, which act like a replacement tooth root and subsequently become a base for a dental crown, fixed bridge, or denture, i.e. your replacement teeth.

Because the implants are made from titanium, they are extremely strong, which means that the implants are firmly fixed and integrated into your body’s own tissues, just like the teeth they are replacing. Present studies show that dental implants, once successfully integrated and maintained well, can last a lifetime.

Multiple Implant

Implants can also be used very successfully when a patient is missing more than one tooth and or has larger gaps. In fact, they can also be used when all of the natural teeth have been lost. In most adults we have 32 teeth if we count our wisdom teeth, when replacing natural teeth with multiple dental implants, it is not necessary to use a dental implant for each tooth that has been lost. Your implantologist will assess your mouth and diagnose how many implants will be necessary. In most cases, if a patient has no teeth and looking for dental implants and a fixed bridge as a solution they may need four dental implants in the upper jaw and four in the lower, this is commonly known as ‘All on 4’.

All on 4 is a fantastic option for a patient that is wearing a full, full denture and wants their life back.

When a patient is missing three or four teeth on one area, they may only need two implants to secure their permanent option. Arranging a free consultation is always encouraged, it will give you the opportunity to see if you are suitable for dental implants and what your options are. It may be that you have made enquiries in the past and told you are not an ideal candidate; if that is the case, please do not be put off, treatments have advanced so much in the past few years, this may no longer be the case.

Accelerated Healing PRGF

What is PRGF you ask…PRGF is the latest, revolutionary techniques being used by only a hand-full if implantologist in the UK.

Plasma

Rich

Growth

Factors

‘It is based on the formulation and use of the patient's own proteins with biological activity, growth factors for the stimulation and acceleration of tissue healing and regeneration.’ To you and me, that means, using your own blood sample, the plasma is separated from the platelets using a special osculating machine. Once the plasma is separated we can use it to accelerated healing around the newly placed implant.

Studies show that over 99.9% of procedures carried out using this method are successful. It also requires less downtime, bruising and swelling.

It is 100% natural only using the bodies own healing products to accelerate the healing process.
